With this kind of information is essential to keep our mouth clean and healthy, in such  cases of poor oral health, people tend to have low self-esteem because of maybe the smell or the loss of teeth or bleeding gums, furthermore when experiencing such problems an individual tend to shy away from certain foods, foods that are hard to chew and opt for softer foods. When an individual starts to use only softer unbalanced meals it means they are avoiding other meals which will lead to some deficiencies because the food intake is affected and now you will be sick not only orally but

Lies About Sexual Purity Many Christians Believe

Image
Compiled by  Simiyu Nalianya   1 Corinthians 1:30-31 Sexual purity is a simple and complicated subject for Christians. It’s simple because the Bible makes it very clear what we are supposed to do: Don’t have premarital sex. Sex is for marriage. Period. That’s not a complicated thing to understand or teach in the church. However, things get weird when Christians start explaining why we should “save ourselves for marriage.” I don’t have a problem with what the church is telling Christians to do and not do regarding sex. I have a problem with  why  we are often telling Christians not do these things. The motives for sexual purity that Christians often have is the problem I want to address here. The Right Reason to Pursue Sexual Purity and Practice Abstinence The reason Christians should not have premarital sex and should practice abstinence before marriage is not that they are retaining a purity they were born with but because they are living from the purity that Jesus gave them when they

TEENAGE NUTRITION

Image
Adolescence is considered a nutritional risk period marked by deep psychological, physiological, and social changes. In this age group, nutritional literature shows a prevalence of inadequate dietetic habits, such as high intake of processed or sugary foods, long gaps between meals, and low consumption of fruits and vegetables. The long-term effects of these eating patterns can result in overweight, as well as micronutrient deficiencies and chronic diseases that if left untreated can be dragged in to adulthood, ( Giselle Rhaisa does Amaral e Melo et al, 2017). Nutritional intervention is very important in this stage in promoting healthy behaviour amongst the young adults including methods of food preparation, food choices, number of meals to consume in a day and the knowledge about balanced diet in general as they make decisions concerning their diet which will help in reducing chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer later in their lives. Teenage/adolescence eat the foods t

Childs nutrition is the dietary requirements to sustain healthy individuals from the age of 2 years up to around 11 years, at this stage nutrition, plays an important role in brain development and body growth in general, and as we talk about optimal nutrition; is providing food that is in accordance with the requirements of the body and as well a diet that is balanced to avoid inadequacy or excess consumption of nutrients that will end up causing malnutrition. When good nutrition is not provided to children they will be affected with stunted growth(their age don’t reciprocate their height), brain retardation and wasting; either the child will end up with kwashiorkor or marasmus and will limit the child to grow to the full potential meaning their motor and cognitive the functioning will be affected greatly. Children at this stage need to be provided with adequate food in order to meet their energy requirements because of their involvement to lots of playing that takes of the greater p

NUTRITION AND MENTAL HEALTH According to WHO statistics, 1 in 4 people have been affected with mental disorders which translates to 450 million people, making it among the leading causes of ill health and disability worldwide. There are drugs that are used to treat the disorders but it come with side effects take for example lithium that is used to treat bipolar disorder, if taken in high amounts can lead to dulled personality, reduced emotions, memory loss and weight gain, the side effects maybe unpleasant and the patient may default in taking the medication because of the effects. prevalence of mental health has increased in developed countries due to their diet that is deficient in Omega3 fatty acids, B vitamins, minerals and amino acids, accumulating data suggests that this may indeed be the case why the developed countries have higher numbers compared to other countries but it don’t mean the other countries don’t have rising cases as well because people have started westernizi

It marks the second time in history that a virus has been eradicated from Africa, since smallpox 40 years ago.
